Lots going on so read to the end and respond please!

First…would like to bring you up to date on some news from The Ranch.

Effective March 20th The Ranch will increase it’s weekend green fees rate by $5.00. This impacts only Saturday & Sunday play. It has been 3 years since any increase in rates. Operating costs continue to rise so management found it necessary to react. This is a nominal increase and I think most everyone would agree that The Ranch is still the best bargain in the area. Weekday play will not be impacted. This will increase the cost of our Men’s Club events by $5.00 as well. The Men’s Club rate of $20 after 3PM will not be impacted.

There is good news! The greens will not be cored this spring so we will not be having to deal with those condition issues. Now that the invading weed has finally been dealt with, the golf course is on a program that promises to have our greens back to pre-invasion condition within a few short weeks.

Some more great news! We have developed a package this year for The Points Championship that may be the best ever. These include:

1. Free green fees for all Men’s Club events for 2011. 2. Free annual range plan. 3. A Taylor Made R9 driver. 4. A Rife Putter 5. Mizuno Tour Wedge (fitted). 6. Four rounds of golf including cart. 7. Four tickets to the Bob Hope Desert Classic. 8. A collection of Ranch headgear. 9. May be the best prize….dinner & cocktails with Jeff Johnson Brandon Hillpot and myself Wow! 10. We will be rewarding our winning players with a total of about $1,000 in script on top of these great prizes.

As you can see we will be paying much further down the list than in recent years!

Golf this week at The Ranch:

Wednesday skins begin at Noon. If you can’t make noon, join us for 9 holes at 2:15.

Friday tee times also begin at noon.

Saturday is the last Team Play match of the season. We will be hosting Oak Quarry at The Ranch beginning at 10:30. I have made no other tee times….so if you’re not involved in Team Play and want to play on Saturday call the pro shop and reserve a time. The Team Play roster will be sent out on Wednesday.

Last but not least. Don’t forget the March event planned for Sunday the 21st. The format is 2-man Triple Play. We will play all three 9′s. The first 9 will be a 2-man scramble followed by a 2-man best ball and finish with 2-man aggregate. Winners will be awarded in both gross and net. You can team up with a member or a guest. The first tee time is 8AM. If you cannot find a partner let me know and I’ll make every effort to hook you up!
